About
I’m a social and outgoing consultant who is well-organized, results-driven, and passionate about programming and automation. My background in networking helps me understand and work effectively with distributed systems. I take pride in taking ownership and responsibility in every project I’m part of. I’m known for being structured in my work, and I really enjoy sharing knowledge and mentoring others. As a hobby, I’ve built and maintained my own website, which I both develop and host myself. The project includes both front-end and back-end development and has been built using technologies such as Vue, Nuxt, Nginx, Golang API, SQLAlchemy, Git, and Docker. I've have my own Kubernetes cluster at home where I hose my projects. On my free-time I play guitar in two metal bands and I enjoy music production and engineering. I am also Chairman of the Board for the company running my own bands and in a stock trading group This site is hosted, developed and designed by myself and I am running it from my own infrastructure at LXL Cloud. Frontend is built with Vue and Nuxt. Temporarily hosted in Google Cloud as my home lab is down due to moving.
Career Summary

Work Experience

The assignment consisted of two primary areas, development of a new local lab environment and daily operations of Nasdaq ́s trading application. Modernization of the Local Lab Environment • I was responsible for replacing a non-functional Vagrant/VirtualBox lab environment. In my solution I used Docker Compose to setup Java based microservices that required a shared network space(a limitation Kubernetes couldn ́t address in this case) • Built a simulator using real Nasdaq config files from Git and developed a cross-platform Golang tool(AMD/ARM) that generated Docker configuration based on templates. Automated deployment of ~110 Java microservices. • Rebuilt the base Java image with embedded C libs for ARM support and developed a Golang API to route traffic between the user and the Java microservices. • Created a one-command wrapper for launching Nasdaq ́s trading application stack locally, fully mimicking the production setup. Delivered the entire solution independently via reverse engineering GitLab codebases and CI/CD pipelines. Operational Tasks • I participated in daily operations of Nasdaq ́s trading platform. Responsibilities included monitoring, incident management, configuration deployments and supporting the Java developers.

Worked as a DevOps Engineer in the Platforms Team at Bonnier News, focusing on DevOps practices. • Collaborated closely with multiple development teams to help set up their infrastructure, promoting a partnership model for self-sufficiency, and also independently managed hosting services as needed. • Designed and implemented infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform, managing additional resources in AWS and Openshift. • Utilized Kubernetes and serverless solutions in infrastructure deployments. • Developed and maintained Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate and standardize deployment processes. • Participated in large migration projects, including transferring all infrastructure from AWS/Openshift to Google Cloud Platform and updating an old Wordpress setup to a modern solution in Google Kubernetes Engine. • Implemented and maintained CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions to manage tasks like applying Terraform configurations and deploying new app images in Google Cloud Run. • Managed DNS with over 2000 hosted zones in AWS Route 53, integrated with HAProxy and Akamai CDN, demonstrating skills in managing complex cloud infrastructures."

• Developed a trade-compliant solution for Ericsson offices in countries under embargo restrictions. • Created a secure and restricted network using Clavister Firewalls and Planet switches. • Responsible for the architecture and design of the local network for each affected country. • Faced challenges associated with working in embargo-restricted countries, including political issues and previous failed attempts. • Persistently worked towards and succeeded in finding viable network solutions for the local offices, despite numerous obstacles.

• Involved in network automation for the Eurovision Song Contest System Crew at Rotterdam Ahoy! Arena. • Responded to a request from The Production Office (TPO) to analyze their Cisco-based network, which supported Wi-Fi, cable connections, printers, and other network services throughout the arena. • Added all network devices to a MySQL database to streamline management. • Developed a GUI using Vue.js, CSS, and JavaScript to enable viewing, modifying, and adding network devices. • Built a Flask API backend in Python to facilitate network configuration and management. • Utilized Paramiko SSH Client for configuring Cisco Access Points (APs) and switches. • Implemented a solution that allowed field engineers to easily configure switch ports remotely. • Employed Git for version control throughout the project.

• Collaborated with a colleague from SDNit to design and develop a Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) system for Cisco switches. • Created a graphical user interface (GUI) that integrates with the IP Address Management system (phpIPAM) to update IP addresses. • Established an isolated VLAN specifically for zero touch provisioning within a dockerized environment. • Enabled technicians to connect Cisco switches to the network and automatically back up and configure them from the web GUI. • Utilized Ansible in conjunction with Python to automate the configuration of the switches.

• Worked closely with the programming team to develop provisioning tools and migration programs. • Migrations of large ISP networks including everything from private customers, 4G infrastructure and corporate customers. • Worked with Telenor's technical architects to solve problems with larger and more advanced migrations. • Handled planning of High Level Design from a technical perspective together with the Telecom Planning Group at Telenor. • Involved in the SICOV group transitioning from project-based to an agile workflow. For example: • Large scale network migrations in Telenors Provider Edge • Working with • Bash & Perl scripting for automation. Linux server environment • Agile workflow, HLD and LLD planning of IP and migrations • Worked for a short period with developing Cisco NSO
